mi was outside in dis wetty-wetty weather chating wid di mailman.
mi see one lady run im down from di next street.
she was smoking mad cah she seh har mail was wet up ahn it wet up from di rain weh get inside di mailbox ahn is suh it stay from dem put in the new boxes each time it rain.
di mailman tell har fi go talk wid HOA fi replace it, she stawt cuss im seh is not HOA fi see bout dem, but the post office.
in the meantime har mail damage.
di mailman seh fi chat wid di postmaster cah di box is not fi dem (post office) box.

My thoughts are if the PO purchased the cluster boxes they are responsible for maintenance of said boxes

if it work like how it gwine work for wi neighborhood then...

post office &quot;propose&quot; the new box cah dem stop house to house delivery.
wi (HOA) vote to approve.
wi vote for where the boxes will go.
Post office install them (per their specs).
but mi nuh know who actually pay for the boxes.

ETA: i would assume that the costs would split as its the Post Office &quot;suggest&quot; the boxes and there are construction costs, etc.

i think post office is responsible for the boxes if they installed and provided specs

and mi wondah why in these times...when the PO getting ready fi cut satdeh service and close down nuff likkle stregge offices...the home owner think that the PO gwine care fi upkeep what dem nevah install in the first place.

u know the post office coulda responsible for maintenace..but there are probably costs (to the HOA) associated with said maintenance.
