Sometimes we can make an issue out of a non-issue. When my son was almost 3 we were at a restaurant being served by waiters. As the table was being bussed, Lil Pea wanted to know why the &quot;brown man&quot; was clearing the table after the &quot;black and white people&quot; gave us food? We were puzzled. We had never used skin color before to describe anyone. What was going on? A few weeks later we were walking through a busy train station when Lil Pea saw a woman running to catch a train. He looked at me and asked, &quot;Mommy why is the blue lady running?&quot; The woman was wearing a bright royal blue outfit. Then I remembered, the man who cleared our table was wearing brown shirt and pants and a brown plastic apron. And the waiters? They wore white shirts and black pants.

They're losing their health care or they lost their homes to foreclosure and they're feeling frustrated, and when you're president of the United States, you've got to deal with all of it. Children are taught colours at an early age. They eventually apply them to everything they see and observe. If we noticed, the little girl observed that her mom is &quot;brown&quot; like all those driving old cars. It's funny, but I can remember thinking of &quot;black&quot; people as brown, to be honest &quot;dark brown&quot; because that's how I saw, and still see us. &quot;Light brown as a colour for us didn't match.. Children at that age are curious about our clour differences and smart kids will want to know, so it's up to parents to guide them carefully across this learning threshold. Bottom line is: Racism is taught and/or learnt.

A child is taught to be racist and when they develope it becomes more extream or concrete or discarded depends on how much he/she think for themselves.

Nothing of course they see color..but that color they see don't get fused with what adults fuse it with. Being lesser of a person or better.
