Re: police bias
How does Personal comes in 'Police' as a hroup,or 'community'??
Irrevilant question..wouldn't you say??
I would say it is obviously systemic, not systematic.

Re: police bias
So any reasonable person would believe that the highest ranking black police officer on the force, would have a <span style="font-weight: bold">unique</span> personal bias, and it would not include the majority white force who was socialized and live in a biased society?<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: Rich</div><div class="ubbcode-body">well found my answer..it was personal:

yes any reasonable person would see that ...but still it is a different thing when he is speaking from a personal point of view rather than "on behalf of" the entire force. When its hot in the jungle of peace I go swimming in the ocean of love.....

Did you mean this: "So any reasonable person would believe that the highest ranking <span style="text-decoration: line-through">black</span> <span style="text-decoration: underline">white</span> police officer on the force..."? If not, I dont't get your meaning.

I hear that some went there to preach to the chief and then walked out before he had a chance to respond. With tat kind of attendance and that attitude from some, I doubt there will be an incentive to hold any such meetings in the future.

Re: police bias
yu se'et too. i think a lot in the community have to take a more mature, proactive attitude to issues which affect them. i'm not surprised by the turnout tho, you only see a lot of the people out and about on the 20th and the 26/27th of the month. when the shopping malls dem rammup wid the baby stroller armada dem.

Re: police bias
He is damn lucky any turn up.
The only reason why they want to promote him, is because they want to increase suppression of blacks.
They intend to use him as figurehead, and do it under his watch.
It is not considered racist if the acts are carried out under the direction of one of 'them'.
Racist Canada would never promote a black police chief unless they are sure he will continue the onslaught on blacks.
The people are not as dumb as some think they are. <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: SuSumba</div><div class="ubbcode-body">personal bias. he admitted at a community meeting in one of the highest density black areas of toronto, <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Click to reveal.. <input type="button" class="form-button" value="Show me!" onclick="toggle_spoiler(this, 'Yikes, my eyes!', 'Show me!')" /></div><div class="ubbcode-body"><div style="display: none;">with 50 attendees. </div></div></div>

Re: police bias
Wht should they have toi wait? they don't want any answer other than in action.
They realize that he is only going to justify the past wrongs and promise what he cannot deliver.<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: Curmudgeon_Milo</div><div class="ubbcode-body"><div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: SueSumba</div><div class="ubbcode-body">personal bias. he admitted at a community meeting in one of the highest density black areas of toronto, <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Click to reveal.. <input type="button" class="form-button" value="Show me!" onclick="toggle_spoiler(this, 'Yikes, my eyes!', 'Show me!')" /></div><div class="ubbcode-body"><div style="display: none;">with 50 attendees. </div></div></div>
