If we are suppose to "meet" to discuss how I am dong my job and you walk in and proceed to tear a strip off of me and then abruptly walk out before I have a chance to respond or to even add my input, you rally think that I am going to go out of my way to help to serve and protect the community you represent.

The police have gone to some extent to investigate the issues, including a former chief heading heading down to Kingston to meet with members of the JCF. Sometimes Jamaicans like to turn a good old fashioned town hall meeting into a pappy show. They state their piece and a dramatic fashion and then sit down and turn hard ears or just get up and walk out.

I hear a lot about what go on. My cousin is a Jamaican serving on the Metro Toronto Force. Yes, racism is prevalent, which I'm sure comes as no surprise to anyone. But there are also a lot of butt holes out there that go on like badman with a gun.

I am very suspicious of the police but I also know that I wouldn't want to do their job, not even for a million $$$$.

What favour are they asking?

For him to treat them equal to the way they treat whites?

He can't do noting that he didn't plan to do.
this is not about feelings.
It is about doing hi sjob.
And doing it fairly.

So why plan to meet with someone in the future if you know that the discussion will be a one way affair. What's the point? Better to just listen to the criticism about how police won't meet with community members?

I suppose because they want him to hear how they feel?
Just maybe as tax paying citizens they wanted their employee to know what it expected of him? What other reason could there be?

Or they are not equal enough to do that which other races have been doing all along?
As i stated before the disdain is so heavy in the air.

and he think the black people believe that the black chief will get the racist staff to follow any orders they consider to even handed to blacks?
They don't fool them.

if he was admitting a systemic bias the response should be so if you know about that what have you done? ..if it is just an admission of a struggle with personal bias then the questions arising are different.

the guy who was head of the union at that time is one of the biggest racists around town in my opinion
