The Costco matter started another disagreement because yesterday's shopping trip was NOT int he budget.

If he's not at Home Depot or Costco, is like seh immo mad. Cho!





Anyway - at one point after the show ran, there was a panel – debating who knows what ...

One question posed was – why is it that so many Latinos in the US wont / don’t learn English?

A Latina activist replied and went on saying that we shouldn’t fear this matter – as a matter of fact, it was hispanics who founded America!

I had to turn up the volume.

Learn something new everyday.

The people in our neighborhood look at taking care of their property and decorating for holidays as though it were a religion.

You’d think that Halloween is a national holiday.

We’re pretty much the only house on the block with no Halloween decorations.

We stick out like a sore, bleeding, puss filled thumb.

I put 1 single pumpkin on the front stoop week before last – im pitchi aff.

Hubby already tell mi seh, if one single strickin’ pikni ringi doorbell<span style="font-style: italic"> ‘bout tricka treat’</span> - immo dash hot wata pan dem.

I'm renting a house that's on a huge chunk of land that was originally the Martinez land grant(from Spain) in the 1600's. I also send my rent check to a &quot;Martinez&quot;. Hispanic is the term that's used here....and whites are &quot;anglos&quot;. Down here I'm the &quot;intruder&quot;.

I agree!!....BUT, i think they would find it interesting that you refer to them as Indians

but to comment on why Latina ppl dont feel the need to learn English..well, considering the national language(es) for this county now includes Spanish, is there any reason they should learn English?

It was ... mildly interesting.

I don't feel like I learned too, too much tho.

It wasn't a huge eye opening experience but it's interesting see / hear other people's experiences. Or rather, what is packaged, as other people's experiences.

I already knew about the suicide thing - already knew a great deal about the immigration thing, hispanic media, Pedro Pan, the actors, ...
