I feel that in america you don't have to be extremely talented to do well..while in jamaica because there is less opportunity those who "do well" must be very talented and hungry..

"doing well" is subjective

but fe arguments..lets say earning the equivalent of 6 figures or above..or some kinda management position

well in both place connections go a long way

i think in NA its a lot easier since a decent education and mediocre talent will get you into that range.

well since 6 figure start at US$100,000. That would be about JA$ 9 million.
recently I looked on the Jamaican incomes and salaries and was amazed how paltry it was in comparison to earnings in Massachusetts.

a dat me a seh RD..sometimes me meet people in ja who are not making much money..but the kinda a talent dem love in corporate america...and all I can think is if you were in the US you would be soo high up the corporate chain...

and that is why a lot of them when if they migrate move up very quickly
