The Association for the Resettlement of Returning Residents has taken steps to protect its members from criminal attacks.

The association’s President, Percival LaTouche <span style="font-weight: bold">said a tracking device is now available to these residents for purchase at the ports of entry. </span>

Mr LaTouche said the device has been made available through a partnership with a private security company.

He claims very little was being done to protect the returned residents.

According to him, the wave of criminal attacks against returned residents has resulted in fear from hundreds who have decided not to return to Jamaica.

So what about the under paid criminals that monitor the divice?/
It is GPS centered.

I didn't know that there is a sistem to monitor guns?
Wher is that system instituted?

as am i ..the ones monitoring the issuance of permits, guns, ammo , the whole deal...underpaid goes across the board in Ja so y u tink dose doing the guns going to get more salary dan who monitoring the GPS...wedda govament r private sector, the common denominator in Ja is underpayment of the rank n file...e.g security guards monitoring upscale residents r grossly underpaid...police underpaid...etc etc

If the majority of Jamaicans have guns there won't be too many underpaid ones in a short time.
Since they will be able to secure their income and develop reserves.
The will be no need to monitor nobody if the majority have license guns. Those who afraid of guns and live amongst it
abroad, are simply dishonest. They really destruct their fellow citizens.
