This one broke my heart. It was wonderful to see a couple still together enjoying life in retirement and seeing the world. What a lovely thing to be so sadly interrupted.

They said they tore their yacht apart and took everything of value, it is no longer any good to them. But what really really scares me about this is, is it not the British who have a firm worldwide policy of not paying ransoms??? Therefore the world would know that it is useless to take a Bristish hostage because they are NOT going to get a penny. The pirates had been doing so well, making millions, so I guess they just take whatevcer. I realy feel for these people.

I can't understand why they were sailing anywhere near Somali waters? Have they not been reading the papers?

I am not defending the pirates but surely this couple should have done their due diligence and realized that these waters should be avoided.
