There was pandemonium in Lakemore Meadows near Linstead, St Catherine, yesterday after a funeral home returned the unclaimed body of a man who was a killed close to two years ago.
Reports are that about 1:00 p.m., a hearse transporting the body of Garth "Blacks" Wilson unceremoniously delivered his corpse to the address that was given at the funeral home at the time of his death.
The drop off caused a large crowd to converge within the community.
THE STAR afterwards learnt that residents were of the impression that Wilson's body was buried in St Thomas.
"People believe seh, him did bury a St Thomas long time," a resident, Arielsaid.

Police reports are that Wilson was shot and killed near Old Harbour also in the parish.
It was said that the body was first placed in a funeral home in the parish but was later transferred to another funeral parlour in St Thomas at the request of a family member.
Yesterday nevertheless, residents were amazed yet confused when the body was left at the doorway of his mother's house.
She was not present at the house. Police were called to the scene and the body later removed.
Several persons at the scene when the body was delivered expressed concerns about the health implications to their community.
"The funeral home should be aware that if them carry the body come here in plastic, then people might get all type of sickness, more needs to be done man," remarked a female bystander.
When THE STAR contacted the Ministry of Health a representative said that they could not comment on the matter as the St Catherine Health Department had not yet been briefed by the police as to what transpired.
Those who initially said they would have undertaken the responsibility for its burial allegedly never claimed the body. Attempts yesterday to get a response from family members proved futile.
The police, however, said that they could not confirm what led to the body being dumped at the house.
One source at the Linstead Police Station said there are two theories. One claiming that the body was requested by Wilson's father while others suggest that the operators of the funeral home in St Thomas had grown impatient of keeping the body.
