This is so distressing. Many years ago before everyone's palm was graced with a mobile phone, a friend of mine daughter went missing at age 12 yrs. She is still missing to this date. Her mom has not given up; they received very little from the police in terms of investigation... only sympathy and words to give up looking and searching and she was to reconcile herself that her daughter was long gone...dead. I remember how in the formative weeks after the child went missing, we kept up vigilance... combing the back roads, following up on verbal leads.. doing everything that we could. There was a potential suspect... I can't tell what became of him. The whole ordeal was gut wrenching and thinking of it now... it makes my belly hurt. My friend has not been the same since her only child disappeared without a trace.
