I'm sure you'd agree that change starts from inside each one of us. You may have learned it growing up but now you're a <span style="font-weight: bold">grown</span> up.

I wish people wld stop using it but, if you find no prob with it, don't find it even a wee bit disrespectful or degrading, wld have no problem referring to your loved ones and family members that way, then rock on.

I will forever admire her for creating an empire out of nothing. However, I stop watching her show long time now for some of the messages she was sending out regarding men in general.

I hope that people are open minded enough to see that I can be entitled to be happy that Oprah is going off the air without labeling me a sexist. If not then I guess my point is proven.

Milo .. I can respect you or anybody else separating your dislike for the show from the person. But you have to admit that is a rarity when it comes to Oprah. Oprah the PERSON is often attacked more so than what her show represents

I can also argue that some people want Oprah to do things and run her life in a way that suits them. Even to the point where she chooses not have children and marry Steadman – they call her selfish and greedy. The sentiments that she on the air too long and dose tings is another example of her getting some unjustified flack for being who she is and what she wants to do with her life.

Haki, I cannot site specific instances because it was so long ago and my memory is not that good to remember names or the shows particular subject that day. However I remember a guest on her show belittling a man on the stage(just because he was a man) and the poor guy just sitting there in a studio full of women and taking it. Oprah was laughing along with whatever this woman was spewing. The whole thing just turned my stomach and said to myself, &quot;that's it&quot;! Never was interested in her show again after that.

I'm all for the enlightenment and empowering of women but Oprah's agenda was not always presented with respect.
