ST ANDREW, Jamaica — After three attempts at finding the right polling division, Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller cast her vote at 9.16 this morning at the Whitfield all age school in her St Andrew South West constituency Thursday
Simpson Miller, who arrived to loud cheers completed the process with much fanfare amid cheers by supporters from inside and outside the polling station.
Earlier, scores of people formed a line at the Whitfield All Age School, not only to exercise their franchise, but in anticipation of the arrival of the prime minister, who has represented that constituency since 1976.
The prime minister was scheduled to vote here around 9:00.
