No the Disney corporation is not really changing direction. It is promoting the same racism it has done through it's history. They did the black prince because there is a black president in the white house, but they still would not give up on the underlying inferiority. That is how it always go. If any black person gets accolades. it is always followed by some negatives they can use to reinforce th negatives. In the case of whites. You never hear a negative follow the accolades. They are always pure, saintly and perfect, with not even a negative unrelated story following it. That is to preserve the memory they plant in the accolades in the people's mind It affect blacks as well as whites. That is what the majority of blacks are racist against blacks .
