I have worked in that situation too, but we are given a card that change the code everytime you use it.

So although you use your personal code.
it only use that code to access it's code builder. It work like the car remotes.
They change the code every time you use it.

So that even if a person copy your signal by intercepting when you use it, their code will not work.. It Take the human error part out of it.
But that was the job.

i am talking about my private use of the WWW.

It's not that hard next time try something simple add a number and special character such as; Mailman1!, Cutechick#1, 1@Jamaica, 2is#Two.

You would have broken one of the cardinal rules of password security if you simply use <span style="font-weight: bold">known words</span> then ad a character.
They have dode breaking programs that are designed to use dictionary look-ups and is capable of going through every single word of the English dictionary in minutes using different characters.
is not too difficult to break.
Especially with the speed of processors available.
this is not a one man outfit you are going against.
