Kingston-based businessman Gerald Pusey, who headed an alleged Ponzi scheme which collapsed last year, was back before the Corporate Area Criminal Court on Monday.
Prosecutors acknowledged in the court <span style="font-weight: bold">that the police are having difficulty completing their investigation to place the matter on the trial list.</span>

<span style="font-weight: bold">They say they are still awaiting computer evidence in the matter.</span>

As a result, the matter was again placed on the mention list for January 26.
Mr. Pusey who headed the collapsed Partner Financial Investment Limited, is accused of defrauding depositors of more than $165 million.
Fraud Squad detectives reported that between 2006 and 2007, Mr. Pusey collected millions of dollars from investors and promised them interest rates ranging from 10% to 12% per month.
However, he failed to make payments, prompting investors to call in the police.
<span style="font-weight: bold">One investor reportedly lost $93 million in the fraud.</span>
Mr. Pusey is facing 19 counts of fraud.
