Three people are now dead and several others seriously injured following a motor vehicle collision along the Chukka Cove Main Road in St Ann last night.
The police say about 9:30 two Toyota Hiace minibuses were traveling in opposite directions when one of the drivers tried to overtake another vehicle.
However they say a cow was also crossing the road and the driver was unable to get the bus back in the lane in time.
It collided into the other bus.
One of the drivers, a male passenger and a woman were killed.
Several other passengers were airlifted to the Kingston Public Hospital as well as the Cornwall Regional Hospital in St James.
