Two men were killed and a woman injured after a gunman invaded a night club in Montego Bay, St. James early Friday morning.

One of those killed remains unidentified while the other is 33-year-old cook shop operator Marvin Senior of Crawford Street in Mount Salem.

According to the police, the club operator closed the doors about 2:30 Friday morning with only two patrons and workers remaining inside.

Mr. Marvin was reportedly sitting in his black Lexus motorcar in the parking lot awaiting his colleague on the inside.

A lone gunman reportedly walked up and opened fire hitting Mr. Senior several times then ran into the nightclub.

He reportedly went to a section inside the club and opened fire hitting Mr. Senior multiple times, while an 18-year-old exotic dancer from Priory St Ann was also injured.

The gunman then exited the premises while the unidentified man and Mr. Senior died on the spot.

The young dancer, who was reportedly on her first night on the job, has since been admitted at hospital with a gunshot wound to her back.

The police are following several leads and have since ruled out robbery as a motive, as they believe both men were the targets.

However no clear motive has yet been established for the killings which have brought the parish toll to just under 220 since the start of the year.

In 2008, 218 persons were murdered in the parish.

The police in St. Ann were kept busy on Thursday following up on a spate of robberies and shootings in the parish.

The mayhem began at five o'clock in the morning when gunmen entered a cellular site in Discovery Bay in the parish and held up the two security guards stationed there.

The gunmen reportedly took the keys to the facility from the guards and stole a large quantity of gas from a store room at the facility.

The crime wave continued Thursday night when about 9:30 41-year-old shop keeper Clive Tracey of Davis Town was attacked and robbed by two armed men.

Mr. Tracey had reportedly just closed his business place and was walking home when the men pounced on him and stole an undetermined sum of money, two gold rings and his cellular telephone.

Just half an hour later in Great Pond, 56-year-old businessman Rodlyn Campbell was shot and killed while standing among a group of persons outside a shop in the community.

A gunman reportedly walked up to the group and shot Mr. Campbell three times in the upper body.

He was taken to the St. Ann's Bay hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The police theorise that Mr. Campbell's murder was a hit, based on reports that he had received threats last week when he refused to pay over money to extortionists.

Around the same time, the police were called to another crime scene, this time in Parry Town in the parish, where 28-year-old Michael Anderson was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the foot.

The police suspect foul play in that incident as Mr. Anderson was unable to tell the police how he got shot.

He was taken to the St. Ann's Bay hospital under police guard for treatment.

The police have said Mr. Anderson will face further questions when he is released from hospital.

Was this in a tourist area or more locally visited part of town?
Hopefully the 'Rock isn't going to turn into what they have going on in Mexico with the killings going on around resort areas. Im not real thrilled about being in a crossfire of thugs/dealers/gangs or what not when the only protection I get to bring is the one made of rubba.

come now...whereva it is it is bad...we need to stop dis differentiation of crime in citizens's bakyaad vs in tourist area....if di citizens were being served by dem govament , the level of crime might not be sooo high

The amount of water that each cruise vessel take in one day, could supply all these places for a year.
How much does the people get from that water they are exporting anyway?

No private person have the right to export water, without local benefit..
Yet it is owned by private individuals that does not even keep the money in Jamaica.
But I still don't believe that the tourists should have to experience these degrading experiences that local citizens refuse to do anything about.
After all the tourists don't have a vote.
they do that where they are.
