An American man, accused of raping a woman at a villa in the eastern Jamaica parish of Portland, has been released on bond.
Travis Mann, a 31 year old music producer, was released on bail in the sum of J$150,000 when he appeared in the Corporate Area Criminal Court last week.
Mr Mann was charged three weeks ago by detectives from CISOCA (Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse) with five counts of rape, following a complaint filed by US law enforcement officials.
The alleged victim is an American. She reported the incident to law enforcement officials on her return to the United States.
US officials submitted a statement from the witness to the Jamaican police two weeks ago.
