Fray freed of civil aviation charges

Stephen Fray.Stephen Fray, the man convicted of attempting to hijack a Canjet flight in April this year, was on Monday freed of charges related to breaches of the civil aviation laws.
Assault charges were also dropped.
When Fray appeared in the Montego Bay Resident Magistrate's Court in Montego Bay, St James Monday morning, he was told that the Director of Public Prosecutions had ruled that the breaches of the Civil Aviation Act and assault charges against a female passenger be dismissed.
No reason was given for the dismissal of these charges.
Attorney-at-law Nathan Robb who was observing the proceedings for the Airports Authority said he has no objections to the ruling.
