every single corporation out there (except for a select few tree huggers) is involved to some extent in unethical business practices, usually overseas, because they are unable, for the most part to engage in such practices in the US and/or most developed countrie.
I am not going to post a list of "socially responsible" ones mi cant badda, but if mi a guh bun fyah pan one then I should be bunning fyah pan all a dem.

There are many things to love and or hate about almost any Business especially Big Box Stores.
I will admit I shop @ Walmart, fact is I just returned from there. I went to pick up an online purchase that I was able to pay for via PayPal and had shipped to the store in three working days.
What not to love?

owned by the Hudson's Bay Company (the "Bay"
. my sister shops at Zellers. she'll go there and buy a pair of slippers for anty for $25. i go to the no name discount store down the street and buy the exact pair for $10.
there used to be "family" department stores. i remember woolco, bi-way, towers, bargain harolds, simpson sears and zellers. hudson's bay bought out zellers and it is the only one that has survived. thde others have gone the way of the moa, or have morphed into something different, restructuring and all ... simpson sears was gobbled up by hudson's bay as well.
the other stores are actually large corporate conglomerates with a facade of being the "friendly neighbourhood everythingfor family stores". more often, the grandfather corporation is something like Dylex, Inc.

A 1988 Filipino land reform effort has proven a fraud. Plantation owners helped draft the law and invented ways to circumvent its purported purpose. Dole pineapple workers are among those paying the price.
Under the land reform, Dole's land was divided among its workers and others who had claims on the land prior to the pineapple giant. However, wealthy landlords maneuvered to gain control of the labor cooperatives the workers were required to form, Washington, D.C.-based International Labor Rights Forum (ILRF) explains in an October report. Dole has slashed it regular workforce and replaced them with contract workers.
<span style="font-weight: bold">Contract workers are paid under a quota system, and earn about $1.85 a day, according to ILRF.</span>
