Re: TARP Program
<span style="font-weight: bold">I took the day off to try and get my mortgage restructured under the TARP porgram that Obama arranged with the banks.
Since the banks took the money and haven't been doing what it was intended for them to do, there is a non-profit organization called NACA that advocates for people who had been subject to predatory lending. They bully the banks into having them remodify/restructure the mortgages.
They were here in New York from last week Thursday at the Javitz Center until yesterday.
It was unbelievable...There were at least ten thousand people there, some camping out in front of the building from overnight, it was massive.
Most banks took part in the workshop and they were slashing people's mortgage rates left, right and center. They did a lot or remodifications right there on the spot.
Mortgage rates were slashed from as high as 9%, 10% and higher down to as low as 2% fixed 30 year conventional, actually, they gave nothing over 3%. You should have heard people screaming for joy.
Some people were paying over six thousand and seven thousand per month in mortgage payments and they got slashed to as low as twelve and sixteen hundred dollars per mongh. I got there at around 6:45 am and was not able to meet one-on-one with a NACA representative until around 8:00 pm and as soon as we were mid-way going over my budget they announced that the banks were closing for the night so I never got my one-on-one with that wicked Chase.
NACA demonstrated at Chase Headquarters on William Street on Monday....approx. 2500 people were there throwing furniture and stuff because Chase is said to be the most difficult bank to get your mortgage restructured with.
It was also on the news. Chase outrightly refuse to budge after taking the TARP money from the government. I was so disappointed because I had submitted my application since February and NACA had already approached Chase with a proposal for my loan reduction but they never responded. My hopes was that I would see them in person and they would have no choice but to restructure my mortgage.
In the meantime, NACA is going to resubmit my remodification proposal and keep badgering them until they give in....God bless NACA.
The next convention will be in Chicago in January and I am planning on attending that too, but this time if I have to sleep on the sidewalk in from of the building to be at the front of the line I won't miss out on that opportunity again.
My experience with Chase regarding my mortgage has taught me that they are a terrible bank to do business with because in crisis they and not there to work with you....I am not thinking that I will remove my money manket accounts, my checking and savings accounts that I have with them to another customer friendly bank..so guys, take note.
When Chase can take your money they are happy with you but if you need Chase to work with you to resolve anything they are nowhere to be found.....Take note of this and be careful where you do your banking.

To NACA Members and Participants:
NACA is excited and proud to inform you that we are conducting a gigantic homesave event in New York City at the Jacob Javits Convention Center to help homeowners with unaffordable mortgages. The event will take place over five days from Friday December 11th through Tuesday December 15th .
NACA's Save the Dream events are incredible with thousands of people having their mortgages payments permanently reduced by over $500 and many by over $1,000 a month often with interest rates reduced to 3% or 2% and sometimes a principal reduction.
Many will be done the same day. There will be over 350 NACA counselors to determine an affordable mortgage payment for the borrower, and hundreds of staff from all the major lenders to process and approve the solutions. NACA has legally binding contracts with all of the major lender/servicers, including Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. All of NACA’s services are FREE.
We also need volunteers to work with staff members during this five day event to ensure that all homeowners are serviced. This is history in the making and an event for the ages. It’s a great time to put our communities first and help those who have unaffordable mortgages save their homes.
Any able and willing person is welcome to reach out to the local office in Newark at (973) 679-2601 to register as a volunteer. Volunteers are considered VIP Members and receive priority.

NACA is the most effective organization in combating the mortgage crisis sweeping across the country. We have set the national standard for resolving this issue and going after the lenders. Do not miss this incredible opportunity. Since we all know people who have also been stricken by an unaffordable loan that need help, spread the word and this email to organizations and churches you are associated with as well as people close to you including including family members, neighbors and co-workers.
I hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving and we look forward to assisting you with your mortgage during this holiday season at this NACA Save the Dream event.
Sincerely,
Bruce Marks
NACA - CEO
P.S. Give an incredible gift to your family members, friends and co-workers by forwarding this email to anyone you know who has an unaffordable mortgage and encourage them to participate. There is everthing to gain and nothing to lose.

Re: TARP Program
I can’t think of one single bank to whom this description couldn’t apply.
