I always wondered whether those who are raking in billions were not benefitting from the "free" stuff as well.
Kids should be taught that nothing is free. Afterall, they are not the ones who really benefit from the free rides, it is their thieving parents.

Kids do need to get to school and since NYC does not have an ample school bus system the MTA was used. Now if parents are struggling, how can they now add bus/train fare for their kids to get to school? That may result in more truancy

I doubt that will happen, but I wonder what the fare will go up to. </span> </div></div>
</div></div> <span style="color: #3333FF">The opinion in the article that I read about this is that it's an attempt by MTA to get more state and federal money but they won't really cut the student rides. Something like how they threaten to raise the fare a dollar, let the public scream and yell and then give in and only raise it fifty cents. </span>
