But every now and then, a disease may cause a rooster to change its gender and become a hen, or vice-versa. Some of these roosters-turned-hens have actually laid eggs!

Here's one I bet you didn't know. Giraffes are some of the few creatures who form homsexual love affairs. It is very very rear, but it does happen. Growing up as a child in JA, between wi and the neighbours, there were many chickens, so I did get ah chance to see it on one occasion. I did not believe it at first, until they showed it to me. They actually saw the rooster lay it an walk off. I was right there but was playing with some other kids at the time, when the grown-up started the commotion about it. The egg was very small, smaller than a small regular fowl egg.
I was always under the impression that roosters MUST lay eggs inna J.A. You hear them every morning? Crow, Crow, Crow, Crow...and then CROW some more. It just goes on and on especially in the country. Must be because the poor 'fellas' are having so much trouble squeezing them out.

JaJewel I think he means when a man of a certain class or social standing has a child with a woman of a lower class and takes the child but keeps the identity of the woman private...rooster laying egg....
