Rasbert Turner, Star Writer
A local gospel singer will soon know if he will be needed for questioning by the St Catherine North police after an illegal firearm was taken from a vehicle he owns, following an accident in Bog Walk on Friday night.
Information reaching THE STAR is that about 10 p.m., another man was driving the vehicle reportedly owned by the christian singer, when it was involved in an accident with an SUV.
Police on the scene, while processing the accident checked the vehicles, after which the pistol was found in the car belonging to the gospel singer.
The police would not release any names but confirmed that an illegal gun was seized following the accident, and that two persons have been taken into custody and are the subject of an investigation.
The police would not say if the gospel artiste is being sought to assist in the investigation, only stating that more persons will be questioned as the probe continues. The lawmen will also be trying to ascertain if the vehicle was stolen.
