Jamaican Prime Minister Bruce Golding has said his cash-short administration is determined to restore prosperity to the country.
The Jamaican leader said slackness must stop
He was speaking in a national address that outlined some of the terms of a draft loan agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Mr Golding said Jamaica couldn't afford to deviate from the IMF programme.
Slackness, skylarking and failure are no longer options that are open to Jamaica, he said.
Mr Golding gave details of a debt management scheme that the government hopes will save billions of dollars in the next fiscal year.
