Ah boss of mine did ah similar ting ah few years ago. As moas ah wi kno, there is ah slight delay during di hang up period.
Well, wi were on ah important conference call wid di Big, Big, Boss (jus call him di BBB fi short, even though there is ah BBBB over him tuh). Anyway, after sitting pan di phone fi bout an hour dem neva get tuh wi agenda item. Soh mi bass hang-up di phone. Den proclaimed loudly tuh mi, "dat was ah big F-ing waste ah time". Him den realize dat di phone neve dun hang up an start fi panic. Hear him noh, "Oh crap, ah wanda if so an so heard dat?" Soh right away him call, di BBB cell phone an lef message apologizing fi him behavior. Den him follow-up by calling wi BB an explain whe him jus duh. Mi jus did looked pan him an smiled.
