An Austrian who was visiting the island has gone missing.
He is Christoph Eckerstorser, 30, of Algen Schlaegl, Austria, who <span style="font-weight: bold">arrived in the island on Thursday, December 31</span>, and was staying at Paradise Acres, St James. He has been <span style="font-weight: bold">reported missing since Friday, January 1. </span>
He is of Caucasian descent. His height, build and mode of dress were not ascertained.
Reports are that on January 1, Eckerstorser complained of feeling ill and was reportedly taken to the Cornwall Regional Hospital by a female companion. The woman is said to have left him there but on her return she was told that Eckerstorser was treated and released.
Efforts to locate him have proven futile. A missing person report was subsequently filed with the police on Wednesday, January 12.
