Radical cleric en route to Jamaica

A Jamaican-born radical Muslim cleric who once led a British mosque attended by convicted terrorists is being flown back to Jamaica, a Kenyan prosecutor has confirmed.
The High Court had ordered the government to produce Sheik Abdullah el-Faisal in court on Thursday and state the reasons it was holding him in detention.
A judge issued the order after the Muslim Human Rights Forum filed a suit on behalf of el-Faisal, asking the High Court to stop his proposed deportation, and said el-Faisal had been flown out of Kenya on a Gulfstream jet.
An official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorised to speak to the media on the issue, confirmed that the plane carrying el-Faisal is scheduled to refuel in Moscow before going to Jamaica.
Harun Ndubi, the lawyer representing the Muslim Human Rights Forum, expressed shock at the cleric's departure and asked the court to demand documents giving the flight details and who from the anti-terrorism police unit accompanied the cleric.
