We were pitching to do the advertising for a bank and heard that the clients are a group of Indians. So I suggested we invite Indians from our company to sit in on the presentation.

If the clients were whites I would have suggested a few white South Africans and Brits for the meeting. If the clients were Arabs we'd have Lebanese, Egyptians, etc.

It's wrong, it's bullsh... but I'm afraid that's how it works.

The fact that you are wondering if you are racist or not is the proof that you are not. A racist person does not think if he is or not racist. In fact, such a person does not beleieve that he is. You were just trying to make them feel confortable just in case they were victims of racism.

Since it is accepted to regular schools that if every one who are socialized in as society that promotes racism is racist.

The only difference is the extent to which they will go to maintain and support racism.
If a person is questioning if they are racist, they are in all likelihood recognizing actions in themselves that they consider racist if it is done by others.

It also mean that previously they didn't realize they had those feelings,or capable of those behaviors, and is unc9onfortable with it.
It also means the are likely to change such behaviors of convinced they are antisocial.

Funnily enough, one of Indians is one of my bosses!
