Re: Negril's entertainment under siege? - wat do u tink of dis?
and typically there was coordination between the music venues in negril
one night is alfreds, one night is bourbon beach, one night is roots bamboo, one night one late night is The Jungle
and the vendors and barrels are out and flowing
wait staff, housekeepers
all that is affected
and i bet no one is walking around with a boom detector - i'm sure "noise" is subjective

as a nightly victim, I have to agree. Maybe it's time for the sound systems to donate their gargantuan - "gOrgontuan" - equipment and tubes to a museum and go hi-tech with wireless headphones. All they have to do is supply devices which are very expensive and comfortable and soon every patron will have one - from those who can really afford them to those who will steal them from spoilt children.I might even get a pair in order to tune in sometimes. If it's vibrations they want then they can use noiseless sub woofers. By the way, do the excessive sound vibrations keep away mosquitoes?
