Fair enough ..I paraphrased and made my own interpretation based on the 2 clips I heard him speak in.

Here is the Youtube and this is just one of the times he said it. He spoke again with Rachel Maddow later and made other statements to do with him being Commader and Cheif etc. Cyan fine nutten on dat.

One thing more to add .. My reaction is from watching Obama presenting a top notch SOTU ...saying what I hoped he'd say but didnt think he had the balls to do it.. witness him actually doing the impossible, which is thawing the republicans frozen stance agains anything Obama, then watching the punduits exhale, and suddenly hearing this hombre utter the comment 'i forgot he was black tonight..&quot;

i totally agree. when i looked at the video i was expecting something very negative but after listening to what he said i was like i dont see the big deal? he wasn't attacking or disrespecting him. maybe his choice of words gets under some ppls skin but he was actually trying to say something positive. </div></div>
