The Pres made sense...yet again. His problem is he isn't dealing with sensible people. He can't do it all himself and those special interests men and women on both sides of both houses are NOT there to serve the 'people'.
And those same 'people' swallow the crap that these senators and governors say hook, line and STINKER.
When Obama was elected I was optomistic. The best chance for America [and subsequently the world] since the Kennedys held sway.
But the days of government for the people by the people are DEAD.

Subsequently...ultimately...so are we.

It tickled me to see the standing ovations at various points, some with one half of the room standing and the other half not.

When they panned on Joe Lieberman I wanted somebody to smack him in his clown head. Particularly when the president mentioned one or two people holding up things. </span>

R+ - You are right .. The hole that Obama has dug himself into now is that everyone expects a GREAT speech from him but the policies and actions behind the speeches a weak, wishy washy, and absent in some cases. He always has conviction behind the podium ..but behind closed doors is acts like a wimp.

I am still holding out for HOPE and <span style="font-weight: bold">CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN</span>.. but for those who think people should &quot;give him time&quot; ..I am afraid he wasted too much political capitol for people to &quot;give him time&quot;. It's Obama's time to put up or shut up (I mean that in a nice way). He needs to <span style="font-size: 11pt"><span style="font-weight: bold">lead </span>- </span>both his party an the pack rats of the GOP. It can be done. It has been done before. Pivot that conviction OFF the podium and excercise it where it should be - in his leadership!

Mrs Blue - I had some fond moments in the Speech but man that Supreme Court Moment made me feel embarass for them But man was that WELL deserved.

Having people standing an appluading what Obama said against them is the biggest pimp slap I ever watch on TV The good thing is based on Barrack's election he HAD credibilty to speak out against them to their faces! He of course finaced most of his campaign by average people.

My other favorite moment was when he said that blocking evrything maybe good political strategy but it is not leadership ..den di camera pan to Mich MCcconell and di silly smirk im always have pan im face jus drap.

BANKERS run the country. they control the cash flow, and debt.
and whoever controls the money controls the country.

He tossed it at them, said that it's now up to them to do something other than just vote no. </span>
