A friend of mine came across an old census found out that one of her ancestors settled in South Carolina but was from Jamaica. This was back in 1920. However, after asking a few Jamaicans I know, they say they are not familiar with the surname. Are any of you familiar with this last name and if you are, what area of Jamaica is this name prominent?
