A 71 year old medical practitioner is scheduled to appear in the Corporate Area Criminal Court Wednesday to answer to sexual assault charges.
Dr Ashtley Cole, who operates a practice in Liguanea, St. Andrew, was taken into custody on Sunday following allegations that he sexually assaulted a teenaged girl.
The girl reportedly went to Dr. Cole as a patient and while there, he acted inappropriately while examining her.
The girl's parents called in members of the Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse which launched an investigation.
