In my family I notice that most of the youths dem seem to be very tolerant of people of all ethnic backgrounds. Now some of the older folk (those in their 60s and up), well that is a different story again.

It seems that most of the &quot;politically incorrect&quot; terms in N. America are frequently used a Yaad and nobody gives a flying ****! I've heard Mr or Miss Chin, Chiney, Indian, Coolie &amp; Whitey....nobody seems to take offense to any of them here.

True, but in Jamaica I find it is not meant in a bigoted manner, it is mostly used just to describe the person.

Maybe I'm wrong but that is how I see it.

I remember years ago writing supm about Chiney Bumps and was told off!!!!

Again, I mentioned something about 'chinks' and was crucified!!!

Funny enough, my vilification came from non-Jamaicans...
