Down in ackee &amp; saltfish there is a column about using coupons and when to shop for items. It has a lot of helpful hints. Most stores have toilet paper and other paper goods on sale which work out to be cheaper than the walmart.

Not where I live although I do buy my paper products from who has the best sale on them sometimes the week I am buying it is not Walmart and no mi nah drive go out there just fi go buy tissue since mi no on the last roll when mi passing Superstore &amp; Zellers ... and mi like the one at Spruce Grove cause it feel like one big chuck up shop.

walmart will beat the competitors price by 10% if u bring in di flyer showing dem dat the item is cheaper elsewhere
and den in most cases dem will do a roll back...so u no only save urself...u save the others in the community who would be buying dat item from walmart at the higher price. maybe some of dem dont have transportation fi go shop at teh other store or walmart is more convenient fi dem go etc...so u helping to bring the cheapness to dem how is dat for helping the community.

When I was driving to the USA in my 18 wheeler---i refused to haul loads into Wal Mart distribution centres.

reason being---they charge the trucking company a fee of anywhere from $150-$300 to unload a 53ft trailer loaded with 24 skids of freight.
then sit you there and it takes anywhere from 7-12 hours to offload.
THEN to make matters worse, if by some reason the truck driver missed his scheduled delivery appointment say due to mechanical breakdown or even a winter storm-it took 3 weeks to rebook an appointment and $1000 dollar a day fine till the load was redelivered.

I personally saw a trucker at the truckstop selling a load of oranges because he missed his delivery appointment and the trucking company told him it was cheaper for them to dum the load and pay for it than going through the hassle with wal mart.

AND there load broker -C.H. Robinson Worldwide ( i call'em Cheap and Heavy Robinson-because there loads pay cheap and are always 44,000 pounds)) pays like a dollar a mile which isnt even near the $1.70 a mile it costs to run a semi)

now think of the AMOUNT of trucks that haul into walmart and they are profiting from the &quot;lumping&quot; fee of $150-300 per truck.

the average Walmart DC sees 1700 loads a day x lets say average $200-thats 340,000 dollars per day times all the distribution centres (wal mart has 40 regional Dcs in the US)do the math- trucking companies are funding wal mart distribution centres
