Why Is Andrew Koenig In the Headlines?

While I do feel badly for any parent who loses a child, w<span style="font-weight: bold">hy on earth has the media been monopolized by Andrew Koenig for the past week?</span> Does anyone even remember him from Growing Pains? I never watched that show.

I haven't counted, but Koenig seems to appear in my RSS feed more than the health care summit.

Puzzling.

I saw the headline of &quot;Growing pains star missing&quot; and thought that something had happened to Kirk Cameron or Alan Thicke.

I noted that his Dad was also an actor (on Star Trek), and that Kirk Cameron and some other semi-celebrities had also been publicising the story. Maybe, that helped it to stay in the spotlight for a bit.

yes i'm aware that he was found dead.

as was another lady whose burnt remains were discovered. Her 2 year old daughter was found abandoned in the locked rest room of a gas station.
