Continental Airlines Now Selling Seats With More Legroom

There are a lot of things that people wish for when they are on a plane. Some of these wants cannot be answered realistically. However, others, like the need to be able to stretch out, can be. That is why now passengers who are flying from March 17th and beyond will have the option to buy seats with extra leg room. Of course, like most good things, these seats are going to cost more.
Continental Airlines, which is based in Houston, announced just this past Wednesday that it will begin allowing customers the option of buying premium seat assignments for the normally unreserved economy class seats that feature extra legroom. So what does this mean? Well with all of the technical wording set aside, it means that people will be able to buy seats in the “exit rows.”
Now when travelers check in for their flights, either online or at the airport, they will be given the opportunity to secure these seats in the exit rows. To make exits easier to get to in case of an emergency, these seats are spaced further apart. This means that whoever is sitting in these seats will have extra room to spread their legs.
So far, Continental Airlines has not disclosed a set price for choosing this seat assignment. Instead, the price will pretty much depend on a number of factors. For example, on longer flights, when people would want to stretch out more, these seats will cost more.
However, for passengers that are flying with a bunch of OnePass Elite frequent fliers, they may not have the option to even get one of these seats. That is because OnePass Elite frequent fliers will be able continue to use this service free of charge, thus they would be likely to take up all of the seats first.
