Re: precious winn
The last and first black woman portrayed a negative stereotype of a black woman to.
Anything that places black people in history is usually coloured with a negative light.
I know the dreamers, would like it to be remember ed otherwise, but i have to go wit reality.
Although it was Marcus Garvey's publication was responsible for motovating the South African born, Mahatma Ghandi, while he was in South Africa, how many people know that?
this is not by accident.
Since it would put a positive light on the black man in histiry.. <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: blakkgiant</div><div class="ubbcode-body">y mii feel dat racist oyinbo aggoo bigg upp precious fii oscar. negative streotypical images aff blakk mekk mzungu feel bettar bout demselves </div></div>

Re: precious winn
So they said he was born in India and went to south Africa as indentured worker.
But they did not admit that he came into civil rights action in Sounth Africa after he read the monthly publication of Marcus garvey.
that was diseminated over the world, by smuggling them on ships and have sailors distribute them in foreign ports.
And one more thing.
Ahimsa that he was suppose to have followed, is not a philosophy, of non-violence.
It is rather one of <span style="font-weight: bold">physical inaction </span>. where the justification is based on the teachings that words are100, times more powerful that physical action.
And thoughts, or ideas, are 100 times more powerful than words.
It does not matter if the thought is violent or peace ful the idea lives beyond teh lifespan of the personality.
The action of nonviolence is the result of motivating the followers to rely on the use of or spreading of the IDEA, to the point wheree the whole population is motivated, and such will be too much for the authorities to manage.
He even have them filling up the prisons,as soon as one in arrested,It was so successful that the authorities could not manage the lock ups.
That is why the Brits creatted Pakistan by deviding India at independence.
And pakistan was always aligned with the west ever since. While indoia was politically a socialist state. quote=blakkgiant]<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: Serenity82</div><div class="ubbcode-body"><div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: blakkgiant</div><div class="ubbcode-body">y mii feel dat racist oyinbo aggoo bigg upp precious fii oscar. negative streotypical images aff blakk mekk mzungu feel bettar bout demselves </div></div>

Was it the same publication that called on all West Tindians to show loyality to the king ???
I am questioning this simply because Garvey in the 1900's was a different person to Garvey post WWI. He swore feity to the british crown...
Interestingly I would like to know when did Garvey first call for Africa for the Africans ????? I am really asking... Was it post WWI or prior to WWI... Was it before he left Jamaica or after ????

i don't think you can say "post WW2" and garvey in the same breath since garvey passed on prior to the end of WW2...
and what does it matter when he first said it?
the fact is that he did say it...and it is needed now more than ever...
