I didn't want you all to miss this if you don't frequent the Sports section where I have a thread...
Please join me in wishing the first ever Jamaican musher to run Iditarod a smashingly successful trek from Anchorage to Nome when the Iditarod starts today in just two hours!
Newton has earned this spotlight on the world dog sledding stage after finishing the famed Yukon Quest race in 13th place out of 29 in a 1,000 mile trek through the wilds of Alaska.
Newton is also running a 3 time Iditarod champion lead dog from Lance Mackey's team so he well set for the task!
I have a thread in the Sports section where I will be posting frequent updates as I'll have a GPS tracker on Newton! I'll post links to all the video that is made public and in the Sports section I also have links to the Jamaica Dog Sled Team fan page on facebook and several links to media coverage.
There is also a discussion forum on the Iditarod website, link is in the Sports forum...
Anyway, please give a hand and let's be
