Any takes on the 'pastor's' response? Why did he have the letter printed if those are his sentiments? Free speech?
A Deadly Cover Up
Dear Pastor,
I read your column everyday and must say some of the letters are quite entertaining and unbelievable, at times. I love your honesty in your advice, although I may not always agree.
Well, Pastor, I am writing to you because of an unbelievable event that happened to a brother of an individual I met while travelling from Jamaica recently. The individual told me a story that I had to verify for myself as I could not believe what I was hearing. I now have no faith in the Jamaican judicial system.
This individual informed me that his/her brother was killed by his girlfriend who is said to be a policewoman. They said no action was taken against the policewoman as the cover up of the policewoman goes all the way to the top. There are witnesses to the crime, but they are afraid to come forward for fear of losing their lives. One witness told the police that they saw the deceased arguing with the policewoman while exiting a famous hangout spot for police officers. Apparently the argument got heated and she drew her weapon and shot the man and put him in the back of the vehicle and drove off. The same policewoman contacted a few high-ranking officers to let them know what happened. Phone records proved this to be true. She then dumped the body and vehicle near a police station and had someone pick her up. She went to the police department to give them the story already made up by her and her comrades, and the story was subsequently printed in the paper.

Now, what baffles me is this. This man is her third victim and no punishment has come to her. There is so much more I could tell you about this whole thing, but it would take days. Pastor, please tell me, how is this possible? We are in a country plagued with crime, especially murder, and the police who are supposed to be upholding the law and protecting the citizens, are the ones who are committing these heinous crimes and covering it up. How can we ever become a better country? My heart bled when I heard this story. I am trying very hard not to believe that, maybe, God has abandoned us. Something is seriously wrong.

Your letter is proof that there are many people who do not love the police and they will fabricate stories against the police. I believe you are talking nonsense. You are a very wicked individual. You are shameless. And you need to stop covering your identity by calling yourself "Concerned Citizen."
If you have information on any crime, you should call Crime Stop. I believe you are spreading propaganda.
