I really find it astonishing the polls.... the fact the polls in the UK and the USA have become so inaccurate....Go back to the Romney Barry election....the last two UK general elections, the Brexit referendum now this....I listened to a program on polls and hear pollsters admit that since the advent of smart phones their correction factors no longer apply...

I get the impression polls change the poltical perception and influence the way people vote.....

I watched the polls till 93.5 % of Florida was in this was 2 and a half hours before they made ed the call... It astonished me why it was not called...basic maths which I did showed the three counties in the south east of Florida could not have led to a Hillary taking Florida. ...I thought through out this election the press could not contemplate a Trump victory.....

the most interesting aspect I thought was the way the press said the only supporters that Trump had was white working class older men without college eduction. clearly this was not the case!

I also noted that Clinton did exactly what Romney did to those who did not support him.. Disparage, berate and belittle. .. She called them is islamaphobic , rascist, sexist, homophobes. Like Romney expressed his disdain for those who he thought would not vote for him, she MADE it clare she did not care for a huge set of voters. This is from the calljon school of politics by dismissive name calling...

Again I call attention to the single most important policy which will have an immediate effect on the Jamaican economy: Trump stated that he would tax money transfers to build the wall......

I really don't care about US domestic policies... Trump or Clinton does not bother me....

The Polls were wrong because the models were wrong. Even with the bad models the Polling trends in Brexit, FARC and this Election was not that way off in terms margin of victory, but with the bad models victory was awarded to the wrong side.

The Election was lost on the day President Elect Barack Obama won. Especially when he was sworn in. The resentment among Whites working class in ex-burbs and the sticks, Far Left and the Alt-Right just kept building up. The Kentucky Gubernatorial Election, 2015 was good indication of what was to come in 2016 General. A popular incumbent in a Southern State that was a least progressive in politics inexplicably turned Right Red.

One of the mistakes of the many mistakes HRC made, was to frontally address the Alt-Right with a Speech and of course the "Basket Of Deplorables", comment. The fact is, there is a basket of deplorable folks supporting DJT (He himself is deplorable in his behavior). The White Racists, White Nationalists and Alt-Right flocked to his Campaign in numbers. HRC should have let her surrogates make the arguments against, ran her Campaign on issues, taking it to ex-burbs and the sticks, where she needed to convince folks to change their collective opposition to her Candidacy.

She went too far Left after the Bernie pounding and she jumped into the mud with DJT Supporters. Cardinal Rule. Democratic Candidates cannot go after the Opposition Supporters. they have to farm the job out to their Surrogates to maintain plausible deniability.

The other comment I would add is the split between the rural and urban counties. I honestly was not aware of this Disparage. ..literally no Democrats wins outside urban centers and as one moved further from the urban centers the more Republican it became ..I was surprised at this.....one suspects if you went back to the 1930's the era of FDR it was the other way round... Texas was an exception close to the border......

I also only turned off listening to the news about the election...

As we noted earlier, February suffered the biggest ever monthly drop in average weekly earnings, because not only did hourly earnings drop but so did hours worked, resulting in far lower overall weekly wages. What caused this? Nothing our readers don't already know: recall that in January, "70% Of Jobs Added In January Were Minimum Wage Waiters And Retail Workers."

February was even worse: most of the jobs that were created, if only on a goalseeked, seasonally adjusted basis, were of the lowest paying, worst possible quality as has been the case for the past 7 years as the BLS desperately seeks to "pad" its political mandate of providing proof in a recovery which however is impossible if it were to tell the truth.

As a result, as the BLS itself admitted, "job growth occurred in health care and social assistance, retail trade, food services and drinking places, and private educational services" - all of which are the lowest-paying wage groups.
