Take a day... Today I think most Cubans are grieving....some are not... I am no apologist for my cousin Fidel...but I bless him for his government actions in Angola...And Algeria... The man who has little a,nd shares with strangers is a twice blessed man.....At a time when other European s saw Africans as less he saw us as more...and spent blood and treasure to stand by us....
I will argue his failure of an economic system tomorrow. But I recall his speech in Mobay...where he acknowledged that had Cuba had Jamaican political system he and his revolution would not be needed.... Or how he brought Teofilo Stevenson and Alberto Juantorena to Jamaica on one of his visits..It is forgotten that Cuba was the a ports super power at Montreal, and man and man were berating Jamaica...Cuba building or the GC Forster is a plank in Jamaica athletics.... Push one island into the Cold War conflict n then blame them for finding a market for goods ....all to promote foreign policy to protect the 'interests' of a few whites who had to give up their playground... even the Mafia were honorary white for the purpose of fighting 'communinism'...

Yes, you are correct. The companies abused Cuba, we do agree. I was not disputing that, but merely posting important facts that you left out of the conversation. That abuse did not give Fidel the right to nationalize US companies and murder and abuse his own people. What kind of relationship with the US did Fidel expect after he stole from very influential US companies? I'm an American citizen that is tired of people that immigrate to this country and complain. The in door also works in the opposite direction if you are not happy.
