"Keep up your pants" campaign in NY

<span style="font-style: italic">Brooklyn, NY - State Senator Eric Adams of Brooklyn really wants young people in Brooklyn to pull their pants up, and he's putting up billboards to tell them so. On Monday, billboards with pictures of models in ultra-low riding jeans reading &quot;We are better than this! Stop the sag! Raise your pants, raise your image!&quot; will be going up in 6 locations in Brooklyn. Adams says the 22-foot-tall billboards were paid for with $2k in campaign funds.</span>

Adams, a former Captain in the NYPD and the co-founder of 100 Blacks in Law Enforcement Who Cares, calls sagging a trend which started in prison, and worries that what he calls &quot;the sagging culture&quot; is perpetuating negative cultural stereotype.....

It all has to do with self-esteem as you imply. ...to imitate a culture from prison is very telling as to the mental orientation of these people who imitate this style.....[di same thing for the &quot;do&quot; rag}

What I find appalling also is the fact that some of these young and hoochie older women wear their pants waist almost at crotch level...one can see the &quot;crack&quot; in their posterior without them even having to bend over.

..as for yaad folks jumping on the bandwagon of anything and everything that others do, further illustrate why we are in the social prekkeh that we find ourselves...we stop thinking for ourselves, seemingly...if dem a dweet a farrin, mek wi dweet tuh; even if it noh good fi wi.

i heard the democrat who brainstormed&lt;-- this idea on the radio this morning. he probably goes pantless his his office on more than one occasion a week. usually these campaigns are to deflect from personal attention like that gay politico in california that would vote against all gay right bills.
