JLP changes picks for top positions at St. Elizabeth Municipal Corporation

There has been a change to the selection of the chairman and deputy chairman of the St. Elizabeth Municipal Corporation.
Derrick Sangster, Councillor for the Mountainside Division, is to be sworn in as chairman and mayor of Black River on Thursday.
His deputy will be Albert Williams, Councillor for the Southfield Division.
Last Wednesday, Donald Simpson and Cetany Holness were selected chairman and deputy chairman at a meeting.
However, the leadership of the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) reportedly reversed the selections at a meeting on Sunday in Kingston.
This followed a protest by supporters in St. Elizabeth.
