Serbian in jail for drugs

A Serbian man who arrived in Jamaica on Monday aboard a cruise ship which docked in Ocho Rios, St. Ann is in custody on drug related charges.
The man was taken into custody by members of the Transnational Crime and Narcotics Division just after 4 o'clock Monday afternoon.
According to the police , acting on information, cops boarded the cruise ship and searched the cabin that was occupied by the Serbian man and found several syringes containing a substance believed to be heroin.
The man whose name has been withheld pending further investigation was then taken into custody.
He is to be questioned by members of the Transnational Crime and Narcotics division Tuesday afternoon.
