In a our first poetry book at high school was the poem John Henry.... THhe man who beat the steam drill.....anyway I was in a Johnny Cash Mood..so I connect pad to tv and tubed some cash songs.. now I never heard Johnny Cash song John Henry....

Googled John Henry and in one source John Henry was a Jamaican and the race against the steam drill took place in Jamaica...I had heard this before but could not find a source....

have vague memories about JH being said to b a Jcan ....can't recall just now, the source.....but I know Cash's song...I love me some Johnny Cash...have u listened to that 'concert' he recorded at Folsom Prison...that's where I first heard him sing it...that recording at Folsom, the entire show , is held by me to be as special as an album I have of Elvis singing Gospel...

Evan just today mi mine run pan u.... so wi went an si a dancer friend of mi daughter family visit...Dem is Maltese..... so dem duh a karaoke link up to u tube. .. now my singing voice is like Miles Davis... the space between a croak and a grunt....mi love sing an mi sing when mi ah drive, garden house work.... from mi youth achieve chap cane pan Appleton estate mi sing....

but one song dem sing was a maltese song by the Tramps..
