Different times in Ja now J-Kid wid de barrel pickney out deh, relatives care only so much and in some cases more about the barrel &amp; money transfer than the child.

I knew of a child who was sent in Ja to be raised with some relatives who at age 12 his favorite drink was Pepsi and Rum. He would get up , go toward school .... but not make it inside

you are correct, possibly he/she is repeating grade 8, that was an assumption on my part that they were in 7 last year, and could be wrong, but bet he/she is under 18, and living in MY house, so you KNOW what that would mean right???

I had that problem with my youngest son in his Senior year. I would leave home before he had to catch the school bus. He would get up like he was getting ready for school.

I receive a couple of calls once I was at work from the school stating that either he was late or did not show up. Told the Admin to quit calling me, he knew what time he had to be there and to go ahead and throw whatever punishment his way. She gave him Saturday school, which really ticked him off when he found out that I was in agreement. He made it on time the rest of the year!
