I don't think this is a Chinese thing. Some foreign workers, armed forces and tourists do this wherever they go. Even UN peacekeepers - probably the only piece they intend to keep when their tour is up is their weapon. Maybe the Chinese offspring are more of a curiosity because of the eyes (hopefully the girls get their mama's b____ I mean body. ).

The majority of Chinese labourers that we take to Africa don't speak a lick a English, and it would appear that it is their first trip on an airplane. The chaos that ensues in the immigration hall when landing cards have to be filled in is epic.

You don't see them on the streets at all, they don't mingle with the locals. If there is a casino in town, that is the only place you will see a few Chinese.

I think that the babies made are in limited quantity, and probably mostly the work of engineers and supervisors that have the time, social skills, and money to enjoy the local scene and breed.
