Relations between Canada and the United States are under scrutiny following the election of Trump, who has vowed to put "America first" and renegotiate a trade agreement with Mexico and Canada.

Why is putting America first a problem? It is not a problem for Americans that want the POTUS to have US interest as #1 priority.

They were foreigners entering the US to protest the US president elect. I say the right decision was made. They were entering the country to disrespect the POTUS which in turn disrepects MY country, not THEIRS. And , in the article it states that American flags were being burned in Montreal. I say screw THEM! Stay the fluck out! I would not travel to their country in disrespect, don't travel to mine in direspect.

My comment is not an indictment on a country and its people. It is an indictment on those individuals within a country that would enter another country and cause problems.

Do you think these same individuals would travel to Cuba to protest Castro? Or would the results of such actions in Cuba be a deterrent?

I would have to think that the border police were given orders to ask such questions and prevent instigators from entering the country, because after all they were expecting problems in DC.
